Trip to Eritrea
The longest-lasting Italian colony.
Overseas Italy. A trip to Eritrea is a discovery of a catalog of 20th-century Italian architecture protected by UNESCO. Especially in Asmara, on the central plateau, but also by the sea in Massawa, Eritrea’s port. As you descend toward the coast, you can still see the route of the railway line built by the Italians, which connected the two cities. Between Cinema Impero, the Fiat Tagliero, and the Italian cemetery, during a trip to Eritrea, it’s still possible to enjoy an excellent pasta dish with a perfect espresso.
